Is your child a budding technologist with a vibrant imagination? Kickstart their journey into the world of programming with our lively afterschool class, blending the visual excitement of Scratch with the foundational power of Python!

In this interactive and enriching class, students aged 9-12 will:

  • Discover Programming with  Scratch: Dive into coding with Scratch, a visual programming language that simplifies complex concepts and makes learning to code accessible and fun.  Students will snap together code blocks to bring characters and stories to life.
  • Step into Python:   Transition from visual blocks to text-based coding with an age-appropriate introduction to Python. Your child will learn the basics of this versatile language, laying the groundwork for future tech endeavors.
  • Create and Collaborate:  Whether animating their own tales in Scratch or coding simple Python      puzzles, students will work on projects that encourage creative thinking      and teamwork.
  • Build Confidence and  Curiosity: Our course is designed to build confidence through accomplishment and to foster curiosity by exploring the endless possibilities  of coding.

No previous experience with coding is needed. Our instructors will provide personalized attention, adapting to each child's learning style and pace, ensuring a supportive and stress-free environment.

As the course concludes, your child will:

  • Have a foundational understanding of both Scratch and basic Python.
  • Complete a variety of projects that demonstrate their newfound programming skills.
  • Develop an analytical mindset that's crucial for problem-solving.
  • Carry forward a sense of      excitement about the potential of coding.

NOTE: Mastery in programming is a long-term goal. This class is designed to ignite interest and provide the tools for ongoing learning in a way that feels rewarding and engaging for young minds.

REQUIREMENTS: To be qualified for classes, students need to be proficient in reading and writing. Some experience with using a keyboard will be very helpful.
