LITTLE YOGI - A Playful Yoga Adventure Camp!
A play-based yoga class that provides the space for for children Age 4-7 to relax while learning to connect with their bodies, and practicing some useful yoga. poses, and having fun.

About the event
(This camp follows the the morning camp: Art in Nature - Earth Art Exploration - at the same venue and is designed for the same age group  (4-7 years olds)  We have an hour of lunch break in between the morning and afternoon camps. Those who attend the morning Art camp and want to stay until 3 pm, can choose the 3-hour option and pack a lunch - we will take care of their transition from morning to afternoon camp. Those who are not in the morning camp are welcome to sign up for the afternoon camp independently from 1 pm.Â
TIME: July 29- August 1, 2024 (MON-THURS)Â
- For those attending group lunch: 12:00PM- 3:00PM (3 hours/day).Â
- For those not attending group lunch: 1:00PM - 3:00 PM (2 hours/day)Â
(please note that we don't provide lunch- we only hold the space for kids to have lunch together in a safe environment)Â

FEE: Â Â $130 (2 hours/day); Â $160 (3 hours/day)

ISLAND COUNTY'S SCHOLARSHIP FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES: Students from low-income families in  Island County can apply for the Health Island Youth Initiative (HIY) scholarship to cover for this Yoga camp. Please apply directly with the Island District and mention our camp in your application HERE.
During this fun movement-based summer camp, Leah will hold space for children where they are invited to connect to their body and mind through yoga poses while relaxing and having fun.Â
This exciting camp combines the fun of play with the power of yoga. Through imaginative stories, interactive games, and energetic movement, your child will embark on a playful yoga adventure!Â
What awaits your little yogi?
- Animal Yoga Poses: We'll roar like lions, slither like snakes, and waddle like penguins, all while mastering yoga poses inspired by our favorite creatures!
- Yoga Story Adventures: Get ready to set sail on a yoga boat, trek through a jungle filled with tree poses, and fly through the air like a superhero (with the help of some awesome yoga flows)!
- Calming Crafts & Creative Relaxation: We'll wind down with mindful coloring, create our own yoga mandalas, and learn fun breathing exercises to become calm and centered.
- Cooperative Games & Teamwork: Get ready for giggles as we play yoga games that promote teamwork, balance, and coordination.
- Nature Connection (Weather Permitting): We'll take our yoga practice outdoors, soaking up the fresh air and connecting with nature.
About the instructorÂ
Leah Barnett has over a decade of yoga instruction experience with hundreds of hours of additional related credentials. She believes in the power of implementing yogic philosophies and practices to cultivate embodied living. Â She is passionate about bringing the magic of yoga to as many people as possible and believes that things like self-awareness, compassion, and emotional intelligence are needed to create a better future and world.
In addition to teaching yoga, Leah runs her own wellness and coaching business, enjoys any time the sun is shining, and marvels at the beauty of the natural world.Â
