Our first public event - Mayfaire (Festival of Flowers) - April 29, 2023

April 22, 2024 - Whidbey Island Language, Art & STEM Center (WILASC) will join the first public event at the Festival of Flowers (traditionally called Mayfaire) at the South Whidbey Community Center in Langley on April 29. WILASC will be one of the partners offering games and crafts on the front lawn, including Readiness to Learn, South Whidbey C.A.R.E.S. Coalition Safety and Wellness Fair, Woodhaven High School, The Backyard and Rubitano Marimba.

Mayfaire is a beautiful spring festival that has been celebrated at Whidbey Island Waldorf School for over 30 years. This year, for the first time the event will be celebrated at the South Whidbey Community Center. Aside from partner activities, the event will also feature Maypole Dances with live music, face painting, a photo booth, and food for sale in front of the big mural.

WILASC will have crafts and games at our table, hosted by Miss Yu - our art teacher. We will also be there to answer any questions or inquiries about our summer camps and after-school programs.
