About the event
TIME: Nov 20, 2023, from 9:30 - 11:30pm
VENUE: South Whidbey Community Center
This is a special bookmaking session on the Thanksgiving/Christmas theme. Children will learn to bind their own hardcover book and the experience to create longer books in the future - theirs to fill with drawing and writing. The books are made with fabric and pressboard to create the covers and spine, bright colored end pages, collages from magazines, and stitched signature page groups to bring it all together.
In the spirit of the season, teacher Ariel Starlight will guide students to fill the pages with their own "Things I love about ..." and "Things I'm grateful for...." to create the most lovely and thoughtful gifts for grandparents, parents, teachers, and friends for the holiday season.
