(ART/STEM) - Friday Unwinding with Art - Age 9-12
In this fun, relaxing Friday class, students will explore different artmaking techniques : watercolor, nature illustration, portrait, abstract painting, landscape painting, and imaginative soft sculpture, while drawing inspiration from the PNW nature and some renowned artists in history.

About the event
In this fun, relaxing class, students will explore different artmaking techniques: watercolor, nature illustration, portrait, abstract painting, landscape painting, and imaginative soft sculpture. Inspired by famous artists, science, and nature of the Pacific Northwest, this is the perfect class for students to pursue their interest in artmaking.
Among the topics we will cover: Fun creative techniques in watercolor, nature Illustration that combines art & science, drawing faces using math and proportion concepts, zooming in for abstractions, monochrome technique for landscape and seascape painting, and imaginative soft sculpture. Students will also get to create an independent project of their choice at the end of the course, with ideas presented by teachers such as creating a journal with a cover, making a simple accordion book for poetry, or making a mobile...
