[ADULT/FAMILY DANCE] - Unleash Your Inner Dancer 💃🏻

TIME:  3:30- 4:30 PM on Fridays 

VENUE: South Whidbey Community Center, Room 112 

AGE: Adult (kids are welcome to attend with parents at no extra charge) 

Calling all parents and other adults who want to dance in a relaxing and supportive environment! If you are looking for an energizing way to de-stress, express yourself, and get your groove on, then this dance class is for you. 

Designed for beginner level (no experience needed!), this dance class is about letting loose, moving to the music, and rediscovering the joy of movement.  We will begin with light dances and simple steps and progress in the direction that the class wants to take. No need to change into any special attire either, just bring comfortable clothes and come move with us.  

This is your chance to tap into your creativity, leave your worries at the door and have fun!

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS? 

This is a "kid-friendly" class, which means your kids are welcome to be in class and learn with you, even though the moves will be designed for you, not for your children.  If you don't want them there, there is always the Rec room with entertainment in the same building where they can hang out while waiting for you (a sitter can be arranged if you feel the need - please let us know).

About the instructor 

Jules Lyon has been dancing since the age of 3. She danced with Pacific Northwest Ballet as a teenager and then received a degree in Dance and movement Technology from BYU. While receiving her degree she was a member of the BYU Theater Ballet Company as well as the International Folk Dance Ensemle, performing in many nations across the world. She later began her own dance studio, which she owned and operated for 20 years in Houston, TX. Jules is thrilled to be part of the Whidbey Island dance community and to share her love of movement with anyone and everyone!
