Our teachers
An electic team serving island youth together
Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds: local school teachers, artists, writers, musicians, engineers, herbalists and nutritionists, environmentalists, health & wellness coaches, undergraduate and graduate students, and college professors. Their common trait? A passion for sharing their knowledge to educate and inspire local youth. More than instructors — they are mentors, creators, and lifelong learners who bring their craft into the classroom.

Whidbey Island Language Art & STEM Center (WILASC) is the first multidisciplinary learning center on the island offering quality enrichment programs in languages, art, music, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for children aged 4-16. Our programs are diverse in nature but guided by the same criteria: to nurture students’ curiosity and creativity, develop their critical thinking skills and a global mindset, and inspire their lifelong love of learning. We offer on-campus and off-campus afterschool and summer camp programs in South Whidbey, Coupeville, and Oak Harbor.
