Oak Harbor families - schools will be closed on December 3–4. Send your kids to our two-days art workshop with Miss Lana in Oak Harbor! Young artists explore the underwater animals of the Salish Sea with clay, fabric collage, cardboard and acrylic paint, creating cardboard octopus, clay seal, puffin fabric collage and an orca acrylic painting. Join one day or both! Ages 6–12.
NEW: 3D printing workshop
Do you know WILASC now has a MakerSpace in Freeland? We host workshops a for teens and families to come learn how to 3D print. This Intro to 3D printing workshop helps parents and kids get familiar with using the technology, so that they can confidently print their own designs afterwards

Whidbey Island Language Art & STEM Center (WILASC) is the first multidisciplinary learning center on the island offering an integrated selection of quality enrichment programs in languages, art, music, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for children aged 4-16. Our programs are diverse in nature, but guided by the same criteria: to nurture students’ curiosity and creativity, develop their critical thinking skills and a global mindset, and inspire their lifelong love of learning.
Our Instructors
An electic team serving island youth together
Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds: local school teachers, artists, writers, musicians, engineers, herbalists and nutritionists, environmentalists, health & wellness coaches, undergraduate and graduate students, and college professors. Their common trait? A passion for sharing their knowledge to educate and inspire local youth. More than instructors — they are mentors, creators, and lifelong learners who bring their craft into the classroom.
