Our Instructors
An electic team serving island youth together
Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds: local school teachers, artists, writers, musicians, engineers, herbalists and nutritionists, environmentalists, health & wellness coaches, undergraduate and graduate students, and college professors. Their common trait? A passion for sharing their knowledge to educate and inspire local youth. More than instructors — they are mentors, creators, and lifelong learners who bring their craft into the classroom.

Whidbey Island Language Art & STEM Center (WILASC) is the first multidisciplinary learning center on the island offering an integrated selection of quality enrichment programs in languages, art, music, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for children aged 4-16. Our programs are diverse in nature, but guided by the same criteria: to nurture students’ curiosity and creativity, develop their critical thinking skills and a global mindset, and inspire their lifelong love of learning.
