3D Printing: Design, Create & Print! Beginner Friendly
July 28-31 (Age 12-17)
Curious how digital ideas become real objects? In this hands-on 3D printing camp, teens will learn how 3D printers work and design their own creations from scratch.
Students will use beginner-friendly design software like Tinkercad to build original 3D models and learn how to prepare them for printing using Bambu Studio. Campers will also gain real experience operating a 3D printer under guided instruction—learning how to load materials, start prints, monitor progress, and follow safe printing practices.

Get ready for an all-new week of weird, wonderful, and wildly fun science experiments! Young scientists will discover the surprising side of chemistry as they create mysterious Oobleck that can't decide whether it's a solid or a liquid, transform a tiny pile of powder into fluffy instant snow, grow dazzling borax crystals, concoct magnetic slime, craft their own fizzy bath bombs, build mesmerizing lava lamps, and watch raisins magically dance before their eyes.

Whidbey Island Language Art & STEM Center (WILASC) is the first multidisciplinary learning center on the island offering an integrated selection of quality enrichment programs in languages, art, music, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for children aged 4-16. Our programs are diverse in nature, but guided by the same criteria: to nurture students’ curiosity and creativity, develop their critical thinking skills and a global mindset, and inspire their lifelong love of learning.

Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds: local school teachers, artists, writers, musicians, engineers, herbalists and nutritionists, environmentalists, health & wellness coaches, undergraduate and graduate students, and college professors. Their common trait? A passion for sharing their knowledge to educate and inspire local youth. More than instructors — they are mentors, creators, and lifelong learners who bring their craft into the classroom.
